The AP Regional Quality Manager is responsible for enhancing the front-line knowledge and accountability for quality as well as promoting a customer-focused culture between contract manufacturing and the customer. This role is also responsible for leading and executing the business, site and plant/department quality programs to enable the business to profitably meet customer needs related to the quality management system.
Position Responsibilities:
AP region point of contact for complex quality concerns, investigations and resolution.
Lead / champion product quality problem solving efforts for complex internal manufacturing concerns (i.e. Corrective Action Management Process, the Root Cause Investigation Process, including customer feedback, etc).
Provide functional quality guidance to internal AP DuPont Manufacturing Sites as well as contract manufacturing sites.
Implement and maintain the business/site quality programs which align to the expectations of the Adhesives and Fluids Business.
Monitor the effectiveness of the quality management system and communicate to leadership improvement opportunities. For example, raw material quality and supplier assessments, etc.
Generate and use quality data (customer complaints, plant metrics etc.) to enable cross functional partners to drive product quality improvements.
Lead and participate in management of change reviews that potentially impact product quality (e.g. specification, train qualifications, plant equipment / systems, analytical testing, etc).
Identify and lead improvement opportunities as determined through data analysis, customer audits and other quality-related programs.
Host customer and other quality related external party visits and audits, in cooperation with Commercial and other functions.
Lead / champion product quality problem solving efforts (i.e. Corrective Action Management Process, the Root Cause Investigation Process, including customer feedback, etc).
Conduct audits of plants, labs, terminals, warehouses, contract manufacturers, distributors, suppliers, customers, etc. to ensure customer needs are met. Leverage findings to drive continuous improvement.
Lead or participate in the review of manufacturing and cross functional projects having a potential impact on product quality.
Qualifications:
At least 5 years experience in quality assurance and quality control systems is required.
Bachelor’s or Master’s degree in Chemistry, Biochemistry, Physical Sciences, any Engineering Discipline, or related field is preferred.
Training to six sigma and other improvement methodologies is also preferred.
Knowledge of ISO9001, IATF16949 and other quality standards is preferred.
Experience as a quality systems auditor is preferred.
